About Us

The Initiative

The Initiative

The Initiative

The Lake County Opioid Initiative is a countywide collaborative dedicated to reducing and ending overdose and supporting individuals using opioids through our network of public and private member organizations.

Along the way, we have won numerous national and state awards and been recognized as a subject matter expert by other coalitions around the country.

Our History

The Initiative

The Initiative

Due to the severe nature of the overdose crisis, in 2013, a group of local stakeholders developed a comprehensive opioid prevention strategy for Lake County. Several groups, including Nicasa Behavioral Health Services, Live4Lali, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Round Lake Park Police Department, worked together to develop the outline for the opioid prevention plan – considered a model for Illinois and for the nation by the Obama White House.

Our Mission

The Initiative

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop, implement, evaluate, and sustain a multi-strategy county-wide effort to prevent opioid use, addiction, overdose, and death.

CONTRIBUTE

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission. We are a 501c3 according to IRS standards and regulations.
